Is DirectPlay getting depreciated?

Hi,
Is the news true that no more improvements will be done to DirectPlay in the
future?
Has all work on DirectPlay stopped?
If it is indeed true, then what are my other options?
DirectPlay was one really good library. Why is it being ignored?
If Microsoft is planning to continue work on DirectPlay ...

network connection via winsock too slow?

Hi there,
I have two applications which I'm trying to sychronize via winsock.
One application sends a message to the connected client 60 times per
second over a 1GBit LAN. But in some kind of way the client only
receives 5-8 per second.
Maybe it's important that i work with two threads, one listening ...

Usb Over Obex

We are developing an application on obex over usb.
From the server side-Nokia Mobile (which uses Symbian API) we were able to
make connection.
From the Client side (PC), we could not find any USb Obex API's in Win32.
Could you please tell us how to proceed? ...
