xml schema design

I have an xml schema that I am working on. I wanted to know if it was a
normal thing to do something like this:
1. Have a ZipCode simple type that has to be 5 characters long.
2. Have a StateCode simple type that has to be 2 characters long.
3. Have an Address complex type that has:
- Street (string)
- City ...

XML data button missing

In Visual Studio 2003, when I bring up an XML document, there are 2 buttons
right under the document. One says "XML" and the other says "Data" which
shows the xml data in a grid where you can enter data if needed.
In Visual Studio 2005 or 2008, I don't have those buttons anymore when I
bring up an XML docum ...

I'm validating an XML document against a schema and everything is good except
when the value is empty or blank. Here is what the schema item looks like:
<xs:attribute name="Field_Name" type="xs:long" use="optional" />
Is it possible to define that a blank or empty value is alright when the
type is xs:long ...

Remove unused members when creating 2005 local cubes

I need to create a windows application in which I can programmatically create
local cubes from SQL Server 2005 databases using C#. I was able to do this in
SQL Server 2000, but I cannot get the same results after upgrading to 2005
because the CREATE GLOBAL CUBE command does not slice the data as it did in
