drawing a pixel

I have a picturebox, PictColor, where various subs write pixels to it.
Supposedly, in VB2005 Pro, I should use Graphics.DrawEllipse. That's fine
but the examples always show writing to a Form and the actual drawing is
done in the Form_Paint event.
I could change this to a PictColor_Paint event but that's ...
