Can't Change name in windows messenger

Windows Messenger willl not let me change my name from my email address, it
says email@emial(email adress is not verified). The box to change you name is
grayed out and it will not allow me to change it. I have tried to verify my
address and it never sends me an email allowing me to do so. Any suggestions? ...

I am trying to put one pc with win200 syncronized with an WinXp PC and I
have set the SNTP Server with the IP, i make "querysntp" and gives the
correct IP. I stop the service and I start it again.
When I make "net time" command the windows gives "System error 5 has
occured. Access is denied".

cd/dvd causes system to reboots

I'm a rookie. No matter what I put in my cd tray, as soon as I close it, my
whole system reboots. If I leave the disk in while it reboots, and will
continually reboot until I open the tray and extract the disc.
I'm using windows xp home.
I've upgraded my firmware.
The cd/dvd that I have is .....HL-DT-ST DVDR ...
