WMP 11 slide show speed won't change?

I'm using WMP11 to display a slide show of jpg files. I can get to the area
where there is a play speed slider and buttons to change the presentation
speed, but nothing I do has any effect. The slider arrow only appears when I
click on the Slow, Normal, Fast buttons. I can then move the arrow but it

MPG Video wouldn't fit into DVD

I am trying to burn a 1.9 Gbyte long MPG video into a 4.7GByte DVD. I am
getting a message that it will not fit and that it exceeds the time limit.
Can someone, please, explain the dichotomy?

Burn video DVD more than once...

I am able to born a video DVD. However, once the session is over, the DVD
locks up and I can't add any more video files (or any other files). This is
huge waste of DVD disk space and I can't figure out how to resolve this
problem.

WIN automatic update keeps trying to install KB93968683 but fails.

I am running WIN XP Pro SP3 and the automatic update keeps trying to install
an update patch to WIN Media Player V11. This is happening about every day.
Each time it attempts the install, it fails. It is not happening to my
other two PCs
that are similarly configured. Anyone know what to do about this?

wmp.exe process will not end even when I go to task manager and hit end
process it still keeps trying to run. I am sure this is what is stopping my
pc from shutting down. Has anyone else had this issue or know how I can

Why cant I delete a song from MEDIA PLAYER'S library and playlist?

But the option DELETE is grayed out? How can I allow Media Player to delete
the file within Media Player?
My library options are set to allow delete..my network sharing is set to

I would like to listen to MP3 music files in one media player, while
watching silent videos in another media player. I was able to do this in XP
by using Media Player 6.4. But now that I'm in Vista, I have lost this
functionality. Is there a good work-around?
