I'm running a clean install of XPHome, SP2. I haven't installed any
media players, audio or video, yet. The clean install included WMP 9,
but I haven't installed it yet. I assume if I do, it'll find the WMP

Subtitles: first you see em then you don't!
Sun, 24 Aug 2008 13:56:05 -0700
I am hard of hearing so I rely heavily on subtitles or closed captioning.
When I first loaded media player 11 on a vista home premium machine they
showed up. I had the avi and the srt file in the same directory/folder. Now
they refuse to show up. What's wrong? Thanks.

WMP11 distorted rips
Sun, 24 Aug 2008 12:00:36 -0500
Greetings,
I' ve been using WMP11 and had used WMP10 to rip CDs to MP3. And most tracks
are distorted. It's as if the track volume is cranked way too high and the
audio is clipped. Other versions of WMP (9 and older, i think) did not
distort.
Does anyone know if there's a fix for this?
Thanks in advan ...

At the same time such players as VLC, MPlayer or KMPlayer are able to play
the video flawelessly.
Would be grateful for any help. ...

Burn video DVD more than once...
Thu, 21 Aug 2008 22:47:01 -0700
I am able to born a video DVD. However, once the session is over, the DVD
locks up and I can't add any more video files (or any other files). This is
huge waste of DVD disk space and I can't figure out how to resolve this
problem.
Help is appreciated!
