Choppy sound files

I'm running WMP 11.0.6 on an Acer Aspire 5520 laptop with Vista Home
Premium. At times I get choppy, undulating mp3 sound. I'm guessing it's a
resource issue, if that's it, is there any help beside shutting down other
cpu hogs when running WMP?

Folks-
I run Vista HP/SP2 and WMP11. A friend gave me a CD-R with episodes of his
radio program on it. I can play it on WMP but I cannot RIP or copy it. It is
in UDF format with which I am unfamiliar. Any suggestions or advice on how I
can RIP or copy it.

Wrong Album Info

A recently purchased CD when played in Media Player has the right music but
the album/artist/track info displayed is totally wrong. (different
artist/album/tracks)
Must be a referencing or coding error - but who/how to fix?? ...

Why does Mediaplayer (11) change the time and datestamp of MP3 files? Is
