Alternative to transfer music from PC to iPhone?

I am seeking an alternative to iTunes to transfer MP3s from PC to the
iPhone. My wife keeps pestering me, that the music I transferred to her
iPhone is a complete mess.
My MP3 collection, however, is perfectly organized. All artists,
composers, titles, cover images etc. etc. are properly entered. But

DVD functionality

I've just bought a DVD player for my computer (Philips DVD +/- RW but
can't get it to play hardly any DVD's (problem with copy protection) and
those it does play are silent. CD's play fine. Player is set to play
digital audio. Audio cable is connected too for analog.

Problem viewing WMP videos on TV

I have a Gateway laptop with Windows XP. I can hook it up to my TV using an
S-video cable and audio cables. I see the desktop, pictures, etc. fine. When

no audio in Vista version

For some unknown reason, there's no sound anymore in mp3 or WMA music files.
There's audio in video files, and media player's not muted, nor is my puter
sound, the speakers work fine, and it used to work OK. I can see the
progress bar moving, the visualizations working, but no sound.

WMP 10 - Disable finding radio stations

AVI files Cause WMP to stop working

I'm running Vista Business SP1 and the latest WMP. My video's are very short
and use the Microsoft Video 1 CODEC and every time I get the error.
