SP3 ate my dvd drive!!

Since downloading SP3 my system hangs and I can't use the cd/dvd drive. I
had no error messages during install. I have taken the drive out of device
manager and rebooted, and also checked my cables even though I haven't done
any internal tinkering lately., but it tells me that the drivers are there

Logging on to XP

When WinXP first starts up a warning message pops up, "Cannot locate
C:\windows\system32\loexwrdo.dll" I press the OK and everything operates
normally. How do I get rid of this message every time Windows starts up?

Click ok to terminate the application
click cancel to debug it
What does this mean?

cannot download Flash Player

I had to uninstall Flash as it interefered with another program.
Cannot install v.9.0.124.0 which works with that program.
I changed my ActiveX secuirty levels and downloaded MS SubInACL and
installed it.
