Computer Management and Orphaned Open Files

I have noticed that Media Center leaves files open on a network share even
after exiting Media Center. Is this normal behavior? Can something be done
so these orphaned open files be closed gracefully? It leaves each movie
file open that was viewed or so says Computer Management. The share is on
an XP Pro ...

reproduction movies

hello,have ASPIRE 7720 WITH VISTA + EMPOWERING TECHNOLOGY that works together
with windows media center, my problem is that , either one or the other
reproduces movies (reading cd's rom everthing is ok ) with play movie nothing

I am trying to connect my Xbox360 as a media extender but i need to set my
firewall to allow it. I can specify programs to allow but can I just specify
Media Center or do I need to use the Media Extender program.
Also if I need to use the media extender where is the location of it? ...

Unable to open Windows Vista Media Centre

I have just had my PC returned from manufacturer for some hardware
replacement. When it was returned, factory settings had been restored.

Help!!!! Trying to burn a CD

Does anyone know how to add the length of a song in Windows Media Player? I
downloaded a song (MP3) format and Media player can't burn the song because
the length ios missing, I tried to search on line and to edit it but I can't
do it. Is it possible to do this? If so please help!! Thanks

Transfer MCE license to another PC?

I have a new copy of Vista Ultimate which I am going to install on my XPMCE
machine. The Vista is a new copy and not an upgrade. I want to move my XPMCE
to another box. How can I transfer this license and how do I get the install

I did a format tonight. reinstalled my XP pro sp2 and the only different
thing I did was install SP3, rather than the crap load of installs I had
before when I formatted back in nov. After that install, I couldn't install
anything else through windows update, nor the local windows updater nor
