CD Question

I have a computer with win xp on it and it has a virus. I am trying to
download the rescue disk from Avira. I saved it to the blank cd I have in my
burner and everything looks ok. When I put that disc in the other computer it
says the file is ready to write to cd. What am I doing wrong? ...

Recording Level

I have a one-off need to make a digital recording to preserve what's
on an ancient cassette.
In the past, I've plugged a lead from the stereo output of my cassette
deck into the sound card of my old desktop PC (running Windows 98) and
recorded direct to MP3. The result has been fine, although a bit
quiet.

xp - languages

I use xp pro with service pack 2. I have lost my discs in a house move. I
now want to install Thai characters to allow my wife to send emails in her
own language. However, xp prompts me for a cd which i obviously now don't
have. Where/what should I now do? Thanks in anticipation. ...

Boy, is storage cheap these days. I could have got more capacity with
a USB drive, but my current policy is to buy only network devices,

About a week ago I began having blue screen errors and eventually BSOD. I
paid about $400 to retrieve my data, upgrade the hardisk to 360 from 120 and
put my data back on the new disk.

Two network - One Domain controller

My Network configuration is as follows:
192.168.2.1-192.168.2.255 (Subnetmask - 255.255.255.0 )
192.168.3.1-192.168.3.255 (Subnetmask - 255.255.255.0 )
I have only one Domain controller with two NIC cards.
One NIC card is connected to 192.168.2.0 Network(via one switch) and
other NIC card is connected to 192.1 ...

When I use "search" in xp, it cannot find files, even tho there

I have tried to use "search" to find specific words in files or specific
words in filenames. But generally, search doesn't work. I end up trying to
find the file myself. in all my drives, which sometimes takes awhile. Is
there some target file(s) for search that might be incorrect? I really need
to be ab ...

Loss of sound after Windows Update

I recorded a TV program on MCE late last night after doing an XP
update with a required reboot. There was no sound.
Has anyone else had this problem? I'm trying to eliminate variables.

WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER 11

The Sync button not working. The first time I plug my HTC phone, I was able
to sync my audio file to my phone. Now... the "start sync" button don't work.
I also notice, in the "sync" tab drop down list, my phone is not in the list.
How do I resolve this?
