Windows Media Center crashes repeatably when adjusting TV settings

I have Windows Media Center running on Vista SP2, on a brand new
CyberPower PC with an Avermedia TV tuner card.
In Windows Media Center, the following sequence of selections always
causes it to crash:
Settings
TV
Configure your TV or Monitor
Watch Video
Any idea what's wrong?

Recorded TV in Windows 7 Media Center

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate Media Center to record some of my favorite tv
shows so I can watch them at another time.
Traditionaly, I used the software that came with the Tuner Card to record
and edit out the commercials.
MC records to a .wtv format.
Is there an appliation I can use to edit this format ...

Upgrade from XP media edition to XP professional

I'm needing to upgrade to Professional so I can use the shared file resource
on the Vitual Machine program. What would be lost if I were to upgrade from
the Media Edition XP? I don't want to lose anything from the Media Edition
XP, but I need the files from the Professional XP. ...

MediaCenter & Windows 7

Greetings;
I have an issue with MediaCenter not recognizing that I have over the
air HDTV available. When I enter the relevant configuration details
and then downloads the guide; For some reason MediaCenter thinks that
in Southern Ontario we don't have over the air HDTV.
I would prefer to have Media Center ...

Cannot Watch Internet TV Using Media Center

I would like to watch Internet tv in Windows Media Center but whenever I
attempt it I get a notice "Sorry Internet TV is not Available in Canada." I
live in New York State. My computer clock is set for EST time. I have no
idea why the media center thinks I am in Canada.
My OS is Vista, SP2.

I seem to have the same problem as well. I have a dual core HP Pavilion
desktop, 2.13 Mhz, 2 gig RAM, Media Center 2002 Service Pack 3. When I open
the media center and chose "tv", it is unable to initialize, saying that some
files may be missing or corrupted. Everything else on the computer seems to
be work ...

WinXP Pro now shown as Win XP Home

I have WinXP Professional installed on my laptop. For some unknown reason,
after a recent Update via the Microsoft Update site, my system is now shown
as:
OS Name Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
My networking is all screwed up, etc. I tried reverting to an earlier
configuration; however, that failed.
