No 'Quality' slider in software

I have a program called Ulead Video Studio 9, which allows me to do some
editing, including transitions. These are nice features, and I can even
output to WMV9 Profiles, customized to my tastes.
However, encoding the video takes considerably long.
In WMEncoder, you know there's a Quality/Performance slider ...

File Editor problem: VIDEO is BLANK

I encoded a WMV9 Advanced Profile with Interlacing at 29.97fps. I want to cut
out commercial breaks, as I recorded an hour and a half of tv.
So in File Editor, I marked in/out and saved. I played back the video and
it's black, but hey, at least it has audio :rolls eyes:

WMA tag editor

I have a lot of old vinyl that I have digitized and
recorded to CD-R.
When I rip tracks from these to put on a portable
player, it barfs as there's no tag info within the .WMA
tracks for it to extract & make a playlist with.
I have figured out how to manually add tag info to
WMA's but it's tedious.

Hello.
I have a dilemma. I have multiple DVD players (e.g., WinDVD, PowerDVD,
Sonic DVD decoder for my HDTV tuner software, etc.). In Windows Media
Player v6.4 and v9.0 (Windows XP Pro. SP2 with all updates), it seems to
be using the wrong codec because the playback doesn't work (no codec),
slow, choppy ...

Dvd player won't recognize that there is a dvd in the drive

When I put a dvd in the correct drive, it doesn't recognize that there is
anything in the drive. I tried the "troubleshoot" thing, and did the whole:
start, accessories, entertainment, windows media player, then selected the
"play" then "dvd" and then it states "no disc in drive"....the problem, you

with a built-in microphone. I can set up video conversations ok, and I can
