No audio from DRM encoded WMA files

Unencrypted WMA files play OK, but recently all DRM WMA files I had purchased
no longer produce the audio content (they had worked fine in the past). They
appear to be playing within Media Player 11 (timeline and graphics). There

I don't have the DRM folder under All Users. It's my work computer and there
are dozens of folders with DRM as part of the name. The upgrade button is
grayed out for me too. If I do not use IE or/and do not allow scripts, and
both are
necesary for this operation, how do I allow IE and scripts? Thank you.

From the beginning of time, it has often been suggested to use the <object>
tag designating the active-x control (CLSID) to insert a windows media file.
This does still work, but it is (still) IE centric, and will often not
