Album and song info through WMP.

It seems that some albums cannot be found through the 'search albuminfo'
option in WMP.
Can another site be used than the build-in 'fai.music.metaservices' site, to
search for more info about albums and songs etc...?
Has anyone an idea which site can provide additional info that can be used
in or for WMP ...

WMP 11 not streaming clips on internet explorer anymore

Hi,
I'm using WMP 11 with Vista and IE 8.
Up until 2 days ago I could stream videos through WMP and IE, but then it
all of a sudden stopped working. Nothing had changed on my part (no settings
changed etc)
There are 2 user accounts on my computer - the other user account can stream
the videos.

In windows XP, using wmp 9 or 10, i could set the full screen resolution for
the most visualizations, including the "Battery" pack. In Vista, and in wmp
11, the settings are still there, but only the "offscreen buffer size"
settings are working - whatever i set it a full screen size, it does not

Embedding Media Player in html page

Why is that when I embedd the wmplayer activex object in a html page it
triggers a security alert when the page is loaded by the client?
Just like we embedd flash player in a web page, why can we not do the same
with windows media player?
Can anyone confirm that, WMPlayer object will always trigger a client ...

Covering part of a .wmv movie

I have embedded WMP into a html page. If I do not have content playing I can
cover part of the WMP with either an image or a css generated veritcal
stripe. When there is content playing, the content appears above the
image/stripe.
Is there any way to have the image/stripe above the displayed media? ...
