When I installed Windows XP Pro a while ago, I noticed that I could no longer
play some AVI files through the Web using IE or Firefox. I had audio but no
video. If I saved that same file to my computer, it played just fine. I
never bothered to deal with the issue because I had more pressing chores to

I've been looking for sample web templates for a live webcasting web page
with embedded WMP, but can't find any. Failing that, where can I find some
documentation for embedding the player? I've got a few sample lines of
HTML, enough to pop the player into an empty web page, but that's all. I

Media player markers problem

Hi:
I encoded a video using Windows Media Encoder and added some markers
with utf-8 encoding (spanish characters).
With Windows Media File Editor I can see the markers with spanish
characters, but when I try to obtain the markers using Javascript in
my webpage MediaPlayer.currentMedia.markerCount is zero.

Hi,
Before I was able to run wmv-files from (or throught) websites, but suddenly
it stops. What happen is - the player starts up and I get green screen with
nothing else - but the progress indicator still running all the way out - -
but no video.!
I have tried un-install the player, run an regedit, re-sast ...

I used to be able to play wmv files from websites simply by clicking on the
links - Windows Media Player 11 would launch and the video would play. Now

Embeded Media Player

I have embeded Media Player in an HTML file using HTML tags. The media file
is quite large, but will work except it does not seem to stream correctly.
It will start the video then stop with a message at the bottom of the player
screen "Buffering n%", and waits until the whole file is buffered.
