Downloading video from Sony Camcorder

I have a Sony Handycam and cannot view the videos on my son's Windows XP with
Windows Media 11. However, I can view them just fine on my Windows Vista with

WMP will not find album information or connecto to Media Guide.

I'm using WMP 11 on Vista.
Whenever I right click an album and "find album information" the window pops
up and the globe in the top left corner spins but the window remains blank. I
try to refresh by clicking the globe but nothing ever loads.
It's the same story for using the media guide. Blank white pag ...

Search media files

I have WMP 11 on Windows XP SP3. I have recently move all my music on an
external hard disk. Now that I want to search the media files so that it
changes the file path and I can listen to my music, it seems that there is no
search media files in my Tools menu. What am I doing wrong? ...

I have this error and I have tried seaching various web sites.
So far I have used a reg cleaner by Reg Cure and I have also
tried to modify the reg keys by using this link:

Changing Default Directory

How do you change the default directory for the library in WMP11. I am
trying to clean out my main HDD and have the directory pointing to one of my
other drives. This would allow me to keep the movies I have, off my boot
drive, but still be able to view my movies and music through my PS3 and
Xbox360.

My media player isn't working. When I attempt to open an e mail with a WMV
attachment it say that the file isn't found and I get error message C00D1197.
I even reinstalled my operating system with negative results. Any
suggestions.
