100% CPU

Environment Windows XP SP3, Dell 2.8MHz Pentium, with 1024Mb RAM, WMP 11
When I upgraded to WMP 11 from WMP 10 I got the problem that WMP hogs the
CPU using 100% CPU, which others have found too!
I reverted to WMP 10 but this now has the problem when it didn't before the
upgrade to WMP 11!!

I can´t change the names of some files in my library. It drives me crazy! The
file is not protected and i can not figure out what to do. Some of the files

No sound of music using Windows Media Center or Windows player

I am running the vista operating system and I have sound when I click on
thing or when the systems boots up. When I try to play an mp3 with Windows
Media Center or Windows player the application looks to be working but no
sound is coming out.
I am able to hear sound from the Web (YouTube).

Edit MIDI titles in Media Player 11

In my previous Media Player 9, used with Windows XP, I was able to edit the
Playlist titles of MIDI songs which I accessed using a URL address (listed
as "other media"). However, with Version 11, I cannot edit the names. They

video will not play in Encarta 2009

I am running XP and the videos in Encarta will not play, however on another
machine using Vista it works fine.
I think it has something to do with the media sharing option which i can not

Videos on DVD will not play on any windows app.

When a DVD is placed inside the computer nothing happens. When I open windows
Media Center [6.0.6001.18000 (longhorn_trm.080118-1840)] it tells me that
"Windows Media Center cannont detect a video DVD in the DVD-ROM drive. Insert
a video DVD into the drive". Nothing I do seems to be working.

Video plays fully BUT 'Seek' scroll bar stops halfway.

When you play some videos the 'Seek' scroll bar at the bottom of the page
either 1] stops halfway through the video but the video carries on playing to
its complete end, or 2] completes traversing the whole scroll bar to the end
very quickly and the video carries playing after that to ITS normal end.

I don't even get an error message....click on attachment...click on "open"
for any file with an extension .wmv and click to open window just disappears.
Can open all other file extensions attachments.
