possible to remove wmp completely?
Sat, 27 May 2006 08:42:43 -0400
I would like to remove wmp completely from my system. I have read that it's
"no can do" with xp sp2.
I feel removal or reinstalling XP (which I really do not want to do) is the
only other alternative to fix the codec or whatever the problem is that
prevents me from playing wav files.
Thanks in advance ...

Is it possible to use WME to broadcast real-time or at least near real-time?
I have tried some suggestions from this newsgroup, but I get a latency of at
least 8 seconds. Has anyone done this with the eccoder or with different
tools?
I used the player on the same machine as the encoder to test the speed ...

Using Media Encoder to record live streaming video
Tue, 2 May 2006 16:10:02 -0700
I am able to record live streaming video on some things but other things
record the screen without the streaming video, it's just black. When I play
back the file, the window I record shows just without the video itself!
Naturally it's the very thing I wanted to encode that isn't coming through!

Multi BitRates and constant re-Buffering from Customers
Sat, 29 Apr 2006 10:29:01 -0700
I am broadcasting at 4 bitrates constant streaming video.
128k, 64k, 32k, and 16k.
The Problem is this:
My audience's PC's are usually auto negotiating to the 128k speed. This is
not good for most of the users. Many need to be on the 64k level or below.
The auto negotiation feature is usually troublesome ...

to something that is readable? Hopefully either a .gif or .jpg? I went to

Changing the Ripping encoder in Media Player
Sun, 23 Apr 2006 15:49:01 -0700
Hi,
I have been using EAC with the LAME encoder in the past and I have had good
results. Can I somehow use this encoder with Media Player? Am I able to
fine tune the ripping process besides the quality slider bar - such as using
Variable Bit rate etc setttings that you can do with LAME?
