Windows Media Encoder problem!

Hi!
Windows Media Encoder 9 running on server W2003 Ent
is no longer able to open wme settings files correctly.
All settings are immedately reset back to some default.
It looks like the compression settings are now cast in stone
and override whatever the wme contains.

conference in Mexico City and having an issue with recording a WMV. We are
connect to a Sony Anycastt via Firewire and using WME to encode directly to

Hello,
I want to use Windows Media Encoder in my application. However, forcing
users to install the exe file is not very user friendly. Isn't there any
option to distribute dll files only?
Another question... What are the alternative ways of making a HTTP video
stream?

Auto recording on startup or opening

I was trying to do a batch file that when Windows Media Encoder opened or
auto started that it would start encoding without having to push the encode
button on the interface of the player..

Commandline encoding with auto date in filename

Hello,
I want to capture from my TV card my favorite programm with mediaencoder
from the commandline.
So far no problem.
But I want automaticly include date and time in the filename.
Ex. 200807061100.wmv How do I make it work? Editing wmcmd.vbs?
