DS filter in WME on Vista causes crash of the program

Hi,
I'm supposed to develop a filter, that will work in WME. However, when
I run compiled DS transform filter example EZRGB24 ( from Microsoft
SDK v6.1, compiled with VS2008 express on Win XP Professional ? filter
runs on that type of system fine) on 32b Windows Vista Home Premium,

Distortion on borders of captured video.

Sessons Greetings All-
Suddenly for some reason whenever I import video to my computer there is now
distortion on the right and bottom borders of the captured video (see link

No Video from webcam

I'm hoping someone can please help me out here. I'm using a Microsoft
NX-3000 Webcam and broadcasting live video stream through WME 9. I am able
to use this exact camera on my Windows Vista laptop and it broadcasts just

Do I even need W's Encoder 9?

Since I don't ever use WMP10, but at one time I installed Encoder 9, is there
any reason or benefit in keeping '9 installed?

Encoder shows blank screen instead of video

When I encode my movie file, the first several minutes show a blank screen
instead of video footage. I increased the performance settings and virtual
memory on my PC, with no improvement. I have tried doing this several times,
and have tried several compression settings. Could anyone offer advice?

64 bit vs 32 bit - is encoder confused? or am I?

My pc came with windows 7 64 bit.
So when i downloaded the encoder, i downloaded the 64 bit version.
when I tried to install it, i received a message that the down loaded
encoder was NOT for a 32-bit system.
Should I be downloading the 32 bit version?

I help run an online stream of my college radio station online. We
get our internet from two different sources and every now and then
they switch them and it changes our ip address. Is there any way to
set up windows media encoder to re-try getting a connection? It
really sucks when we have people from France ...

WME stops after live broadcast stream startup

We are streaming from an XP PC over the public internet to a 2003 server in a
different state. The encoder will often stop after starting a live audio
stream (push method). It may stop once or twice, after a short time (few
seconds to a minute) of streaming. (I have to click Start again to get it
going.) ...
