Windows Media Lossless 5.1

Hi,
I am trying to convert a 6 channel PCM file containing 5.1 Surround to
Windows Media Lossless. Although the resultant file is a 5.1 file, there is
only modulation on the Left/Right Channels and it appears to have been mixed
down to stereo.
Is this a known issue, and if so any chance of a fix someday ...

I use the Media Encoder to change "mov" video clips to "wmv" clips so I can
make videos using Windows Movie Maker.
It works fine with the "mov" clips from my Nikon Coolpix 5700 but when
trying to convert "mov" clips from my Panasonic DMC-FZ28, I lose the audio.

When I combine a Firewire camera as a video source and a none-firewire
audio device (usb, internal) source the WME 9 preview screen becomes very
choppy. The weird part is that this only happens when PUSH/PULL encoding is
