I too have experienced the curse of the R&R installer whenever I
played music from Windows Media Player or Yahoo! Music Jukebox.
However I did an adjustment which has so far remedied this plague.
1. Go to your control panel
2. Open User Accounts
3. Turn User Account Control off
4. Restart your computer

Same problem here...Just started today. Really annoying. I was using a P2P
and thought it had something to do with that.

Changed motherboard, now WMP won't play DVDs

I managed to pop all the capacitors on my motherboard, so I had to replace it.
Now WMP (and all other players) won't play DVDs anymore.
