Philips 2412A Cd-RW

After re-installing Windows my CD-RW does not work. I have tried removing
and re-installing the CD-RW...makes no difference. Windows states that it is
installed and is working correctly. Yet it will not read nor write nor can I
any longer burn my cds...stinks. Help !!!!!!! Also have the original Samsung

Media Sharing Between Two Vista PCs

I am having difficulty sharing media files between two VISTA PCs. When I
select the option to configure media sharing from within WMP, each PC shows
the other PC as an option under "Share my media to:"
However, when I open WMP on both PCs, neither shows the other PC's media
files.
What am I doing wrong?

My media player stopped working, get a COOD1199 Codex error but am trying to
view a WMV file. Tried uninstalling and reverting to version 10. Old files
that used to play don't anymore. And had a response from someone but thread
didn't link up.
Tried running this sample:

I'm posting here for clarification mainly. I think this may be the fix

my cd rw is not recognized as a recording device

Please help!
Yet again another update has messed with my computer. I ran an update for
the idt soundcard software and now media player (and windows) doesn't
recongnize my cd-rw as a recording device. I wish there were someone I could
talk to in person or on the phone.

WMP11 XP update to playlist does not show in PS3

Hi All,
I have setup connection from WMP11 to PS3. I can see all my music,
playlist, etc from my PS3. When I update my Playlist in WMP11, the changes
are not reflected in PS3. It seems to be cached. How do I get the playlist
to refresh on PS3?

Acer Aspire 3680 with Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset; Driver
6.14.10.4926. No rotation selection found. Control Alt Up Arrow, Rt. Arrow,
etc does not work. (It does, however, on my Aspire One netbook which DID
have rotation selection.)

ROM to Burner?

This is probably a really stupid question, but I have to know - is software
alone the only difference between a CD/DVD ROM drive and a CD/DVD Burner? Or
do you have to physically install a whole new drive? My friend (who lent me
this computer) says this computer comes with a burner, but it doesn't burn.
