Rip Performance

The new player is great however the Rip Performance compared to WMP 10 is
slow, I have noticed a 50% increase in CPU utilization comparatively to WMP
10, with the same rip settings.

WMP11 - 'High Quality Mode' issue with GeForce 6 series videocard

Issue :
When using the "high quality mode", MPEG-4 ASP files (XviD, DivX) are played
back in black & white (some video's have a green/red haze).
Repro steps :
1. Launch Windows Media Player 11.0.5358.4827
2. Click on Tools > Options on the menu bar
3. Click on the Performance tab

So far this is miles ahead of what WMP has been for so long. Its been a
nice player that could do a lot of things, but you wouldn't want to use
it a lot because it was ungainly and difficult to do what you wanted
with it.

WMP11: mouse wheel scrolling

Why can't the mouse wheel scroll the region that my mouse pointer is
over? This affects a lot of apps, not just WMP.. but to use the mouse
wheel, I sometimes have to activate the window region by clicking in the
region's whitespace before I can scroll. It's particularly annoying in

Minor Visualization Bug

This bug has been around at least since WMP9, maybe even longer. Open media
player with a song playing. There are lots of visualizations affected by
this such as Blazing Colors, Trilogy, Trilogy II, Trilogy III, Ambience,

Minor problems with WMP11

I have installed WMP11 on my XP computer. It's overall good, but I've got a
few minor complaints. First, I've noticed *some* of the visualizations
aren't as fast. Bars & Waves and Blazing Colors to name two in particular.
They're almost as slow as they were in Windows Media Player 8 and 7.

First of all I never did try this before with WMP10 so I dont know if it
existed before.
I plug the USB Zen Nano plus in and then start WMP11. I can see the Zen Nano
plus listed on the left and within seconds the error message "WMP has
