compacted email, now i have lost folders and email????

I recently went through the ordeal of trying to update Norton's Internet
Security which caused multiple lockups. I ended up having to do several hard
reboots which I am afraid have corrupted parts of OE. I ended up requesting a

Help! Need to reduce size of .bak file (2GB+!).

My inbox crashed. After reading several threads, I compacted all files, and
the inbox went to the Recycling Bin. I found the problem was the size of my
inbox - 2+GB!. How/where can I restore it so that I can edit the file,
splitting up what I need into smaller files and deleting the rest?
I presume I can't ...

Are you aware of an English (UK) spell checker attachment - the vampirefo
one is English (United States)?
