Proxy.pac not being processed by IE6

hi everybody,
we are currently have an issue with our proxy.pac that is not being
processed by IE.
The proxy.pac works on wks in within our network but once they start Nortel
VPN, the proxy.pac is no longer processed but by passed on some of the wks.
I have already all policy settings and none is related ...

Cocoon errors with IE 6.0

Is this a known issue with IE6.0? If so, is there a patch for IE or workaround?

KB 918692 doesnt work for IE SP2

I have IE SP2, The hotfix would not install if I have IE sp2, it said it
wasnt necesary. The key did not exist in the registry so I added it (and
checked the spelling), restarted the computer, but it still did not work.
MY issue is that I have french characters ...
