unable to open e-mail with IE6 getting frustrated

When I try to open my mail I get the following messages.

cant reset ie6 tool settings

ive tried to reset ie6 tool settings ,ive tried in administrator
account ,ive reinstalled ie6 ,ive set the tools then rebooted before
using ie6, it says it is set the way i want it to be in tool options
,then when i connect to internet it resets back to the way it was
before ,ive run spybot,adaware,avg antivir ...

Open button not an option

When on a secure site I have one workstation that clicks to view contents but
the only option is save or cancel. I have verified the security settings are
the same as another machine that works. It appears the extension .tif is not
showing up so it doesn't know how to open the file. How can I change this? ...

The main example i can give you is the hotmail.com website where only the
component of the website that has the form to login to your email account
appears and the rest of the page is not loaded. Also, the website apple.ca
