Network problems after July update

My system just completed the July 2008 update for win 2000. After the
required restart I have no access to the internet or to the network accessed

and I got the error message code 0x80072F8F. I checked the date and time and

Password problem

I was upgrading a friend's computer from Windows 98 to Win 2K Pro.
Everything seemed to be alright and I put in the user password twice
as requested. Th machine then rebooted itself and asked for the

I only know that some problem patches are excluded and also you can add them
yourself to the file where they are listed (yourdrive\ctupdate4\client\exclude).
If you choose the correct option, an .iso image will be created, which you
can burn to disk and then just doubleclick the update.cmd or s ...

Hello Larry,
If you have unzipped the file under the first level you see Updategenerator.exe,
there you can choose all you like and configure the updates you like. Normally
it should run without any error.
