Internet Explorer blank pages

hi there,
Am facing a very strange problem with Internet Explorer 6.0 running under
windows 2000.
When i open some pages they come out blank.
If i right click , view source, i see the HTML code , but no result.
It's only on one site , but several web site sites. A friend of mine running

update not letting me in

when i try to update my OS, win2000pro, SP4, it tells me that 3 services
are NOT running. They are automatic updates, BITS and the event log.
when i go to make sure they are running it shows that they are, however
it will still not let me update. any help will be appreciated.
