adprep /forestprep error

hello all ,
i have win2k as DC, i would like to add win2k3 as additional DC and then
promot it to domain controller ,
but while adding , i'm trying to run "adprep /forestprep" on win2k server
it's giving following error,
Opened Connection to BTAMAIN
SSPI Bind succeeded
Found Naming Context DC=b ...

Windows 2000 Server reinstall

Done almost everything to recover. Tried repairing but may have to
reinstall Windows. My question may sound pretty naive, but I'm an

Upgrade win2000 DC

Hi,
I have a windows 2000 forest with 1 child domain. I plan to install
windows2003 DC's on separate machines . After replicating all the NTDS
database from windows 2000 DC's to windows 2003 DC's , I plan to
decommission the windows 2000 DC's.
I'll appreciate a reply from any one who had done a simil ...

winlogon.exe error

I just upgraded win98 to win2000 Pro and now am receiving a winlogon.exe
error and the computer restarts itself. This occurs when I try to select
anything from the desktop. Any help will be greatly appreciated! ...

I have multiple remote pc's running win2k pro(workstation). they are due a
software upgrade which requires win2k3 os to be installed.
My question is can these pc's be upgraded or will they have to be rebuilt
with a fresh os.
can anybody help please.

Upgrading to server 2003

In all the information I find about upgrading my domain controllers from
windows 2000 to 2003 server it says that one of the first things I need to
do is run the LDF file exchangefix.ldf before running forestprep. It says
that it is located on the 2003 cd in the support/tools directory. I cannot
find it ...

one of the DC'S in the parent domain. Dell have sent me a blade server with
2003 on it instead of 2000. i am wondering what the implications are of using
