Beim Anschluss von USB Gerten (Sticks oder Festplatten) wird automatisch
ein Laufwerksbuchstabe zugeordnet, oder von mir bestimmt. Beim abziehen der
Gerte und dann beim wiederholten Anschlieen kommt es jedoch oft vor, dass
die Gerte dann eine andere Bezeichnung haben. Hintergrund ist wohl der,

the entire install process, with an NTFS file system, and it appears to
completely install correctly with no errors or appearant problems. When it
does a reboot after the install process, I get "error loading operating

How to share a parallel port LPT printer with other computer in Workgroup ?

A printer is connected to the local computer through a parallel port LPT1 (NOT USB).
Thus it is NOT an explicit network printer (with own IP).
Which settings do I have to enable to offer printing from other Win2000 computers in my
workgroup?

disk gone bad...

ide 0 developed a bad sector, 2000 cannot boot from mirror, goes BSOD...
tried to repair with instalation CD but it says disk mirror is corrupted...
ide 0 still working but I cant mirror it anymore...

Assume I have a wmv movie with a length of 10 minutes. I can load it into MovieMaker 2.1.x
and drag the position indicator on the timeline to the position I want.

hey from now and then this message pops up this application has failed to
start because LZ32.dll was not found. re-installing the application may fix
problem. this also happens with another thing. C://windows/system32. can

EULA not found when trying to Restore IBM Intellistation from Restore CD

I get a strang and unexpected message when I'm trying to restore my IBM
Intellistaton MPRO which is essentially EULA not found. THis happens
using the orignal Restore CD but 4 boot disks that I downloaded from

I have read one of the threads regarding SBS 2003, My situation is
different; I just started with this company running SBS 2003 running on

installing 2K server problem

hi all,
I'm installing 2K server on a Supermicro 1U server. The server is a P4
2.8 with 1GB ram and 2 300GB IDE drives (raid 1)
Booting the 2K server disk works fine and the installer does its thing.
I partition the drive into a 10GB partition for windows and 290ish
partition for data.
