LAN is disconneted during startup

During shutdown, I am running a script to enable the LAN if disabled.
During Startup I am also doing the same. The problem is that whenever i
startup and the ctrl + alt +del dialog shows, the LAN is disabled, i.e.
i cannot log on to the domain. Only after I log into Mycomputer that
the LAN gets enabled. I have ...

2003 Server/File Server ?

First, I'm very new at working with a server, so please pardon my ignorance
as I learn.
I've managed to set up a small network and all computers on the network have
access to the files/folders they have permission to access. I'm able to
control the users through the file server without any problems so far ...

Problem installing Win2K

I have recently purchased an Intel Server, that has three 120GB SATA
drives connected in Raid 5. The controller is a Promise Fasttrak. THE
SERVER DID NOT COME WITH A FLOPPY DRIVE.

Adding new keyboard layout?

On a Win2000 system I am using normally a german keyboard layout. Thats fine for
most of the time. However occasionally I need a cyrillic/russian layout.
Unfortunately I did not install the layout during the former complete Win2000 installation.
The original installation Win2000 CD is at my parents home 500km ...

Under WinXp everthing is simple: I right-click somewhere on the desktop backgroudn,
then select "Properties->Settings", then click on screen number 2 und
check the box near "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor".
This is sufficient to connect a (notebook) system to an external beamer or TV-screen.

'Insert Windows Program Disk' question

Installed a new program a couple of weeks ago and received the 'Insert
Windows Program disk ....' which I did. Since then I've been wondering
about the SP4 and rollup upgrades. What if they contained an updated version
of the overwritten file? Should they be re-installed?

Hi
I have been trying to install this service update since it came out and
it is never successful. So every time I power on my computer it
downloads the service update and tries to install and fails. I am
running Windows 2000 Professional. Can anyone help me?
