Any tips for using my Win2000 CD on a system that is looping through safe mode choices?

In Win98SE, no matter what was happening with the computer, putting the
floppy in and rebooting would grant us ability to get in a fix things, even
if it was as simple as going into DOS and doing something, or wiping the C
drive and re-installing.

that I shouldn't have. In WinXP, went into MSCONFIG and in the boot.ini tab
ticked "Safe mode" and "networking". (I was forgetting I wasn't in Win98SE

usefull in win 98SE. found it in \System32 folder but got no
effect when dble cliked on. Where in 2000 is this function now found?

Is this a non-issue?
I asked in a Sept 30 message, Subject: "Re: HD light on until I open/close
DVD door," about the red hd light staying on until I open and close the DVD
drive door.

Hello ssome,
If you open the properties from your drive, Tools tab, you have error checking,
check now, take your options and with the next reboot it will check the harddisk.
