Booting from floppy

Installed Win2K Pro, dual booting Linux, and I was trying to to set up a
floppy for BIOS flash. It seems the machine will not boot into DOS from
a floppy or CDROM as long as the HDD is connected. It reads a few tracks
from the floppy, then the HDD access LED flashes, and the FDD just quits
doing anything. ...

I'm trying to add a new user to win2000pro sp4 machine.
I created the user via:
'my computer' | manage | \local users and groups\users | action | new
user.
when i try to log in, I get a warning box that says can't copy
....default user\start menu\... to [etc] because it is in use.

At start up a warning message sais "ntldr is missing". I've been doing some
research on the internet on how to resolve this issue but I am not confident
enough yet to attempt the fix. Could someone describe the procedure to me.

Why won't themes take effect in Windows 2000 Pro?

I have a theme I always use and I've even been able to use it on the
Win2K boxes at offices where I get sent to (it mainly changes icons to
something easier than default ones). But they won't take here at home
in this new Win2K installation.

How do we install Win 2000 with no floppy drive?

I just did an upgrade to Windows 2000. I was able to easily install
because I made the 4 bootdisks. But new computers don't have floppy
drives. How do we install when that is the case, pls, anyone know? I
hope to get a new computer in a couple of months and both Win98SE and
Win2K seem to create boot disks ...
