access network share via service using a non LocalSystem Account

Hi,
I cannot access network shares (mapped to drive letters) from a
service.
The Service (srvany with Cruise Control) is configured to run as a
local user account, not LocalSystem.
When I log in as the same local user and execute the batch file
everything works.

I have a mixture of NT4 and AD domains with trusts. Can I turn off
port 137 for security purposes[disable Netbios over TCPIP] on all
servers and expect all browsing and printing done through port 445 and

I am trying to use the function GetUserNameEx on Win2k Pro.
It works for NameSamCompatible but is failing when i pass the option
as NameDnsDomain.
Important : The failure occurs only Win2000 Professional and it works
fine on XP.

My home network has this BARE 2000 machine. I use it just for backup. So
