USB HD won't detect as Mass Storage

Using Windows 2000 SP4.
The problem is that a Western Digital "My Passport Essential" external USB
hard drive won't auto-detect as a mass storage device. It only is detected
as a "USB 2.0 Device", which then prompts the New Hardware Wizard...and of
course I have no 3rd party driver to install. Can I force ...

Server RAM upgrade

I am trying to upgrade RAM on an HP Proliant ML310 server. I have (2)
CORSAIR 1GB 184-Pin
DDR SDRAM DDR 266 (PC 2100) ECC Registered Server Memory Model
CM72SD1024RLP-2100. When I place these into slots 1 and 2 and try and boot
the computer a
black screen comes up with what looks like a command line ...

Eject Hardware Creates New Profile

Hello,
Whenever I use the 'eject hardware' icon to disconnect my external hardrive,
it proceeds normally until it says it is OK to stop the device. When I turn
off the hardrive, the computer crashed, wrote something to a log and when I
rebooted, the Username is the same in the Login-window but half the ico ...

Finding and downloading lost files

Hi, I use webstreaming, it was working fine, then I downloaded something
which asked if I wanted to delete a bevy of files since they weren't being
used, and I did. So now I can't use the webstreaming, it will play audio
files I have on my computer but it won't play any webstreaming. Please help! ...

Acronis and USB

I have a Win2K machine with a 20 gb drive that I would like to back up
to a USB drive, then replace the 20 gb with a 160 gb and restore the
backkup from USB using Acronis 10.
Is this doable and what should I watch for and what is the procedure for
doing the restore and reboot?

I posted yesterday about Partition Magic and the resize of a boot system
partition of a Win2k Server. I did find information about Acronis Disk
Directeor server suite 10 which seems to work no matter what the Raid tyep

I have to increase a system partition on a Win2k server and want to know if
I can proceed using Partition Magic Pro 8.5 with no problem? I have less
than 1 GO of free space and have to add an application or two but doesn't
want to reinstall the entire OS and so... I still have plenty of space on
other par ...
