Group Ploicy Tidy Up

Folks,
Over the past 6 years or so the number of GPO's within my domain has grown
to quite a number. Now the majority of these are now defunct and obselete.
What is the recommended method to strip GP back to its bare bones?
Can i just delete the GPO's themselves or do i have to reset all setings
within ...

Windows Server 2003 Group Policy - power management

Hello,
Does anyone know a technical reason why there are no power management group
policy settings in server 2003? Was it just an oversight by Microsoft or
something else?
Server 2008 has power management GPO's. Are they bakcward compatible with
Windows XP? Is there a client that needs to be installed ...

GPO Processing Order and OUs

OU then this applies to only those objects within the OU. Is that correct?

Security Filtering Group to use for Default Domain Policy

Our Domain, all sites, is experiencing slow logons/boots.
In searching for solutions, one of the things we found is that the Default
Domain GPO (maybe, others, too) should have the Domain Computers group added

I have a user who changed a local security setting for "digitally signing"
the effective setting is now screwed up....he disabled it and the domain
enables it but now he cannot connect to a shre without authenitcating. I have
