boot problem with mapped drives

I have a W2000 SP4 machine on a peer to peer network, connected by wireless
card. there are 2 mapped drives to another machine.
When turned on the boot stops with a message unable to connect to a netwrork
drive, do you want to connect next time? I say yes and it boots OK, then I
execute a batch file that ...

I think it will not be a problem to use the Linksys router as DNS server
and Default gateway. I use my DSL router at home for DHCP and it is also
the DNS "server". Just point with the preferred DNS ip to the router should

I have a DNS server on my local area network that a friend of mine set up for
me. I want to remove it because the computer its on is an older one and if it
craps out on me we have no internet the way he set it up

SP4 & Fax service

Since applying SP4, I have been unable to receive faxes. Fax Service shuts
down shortly after starting regardless of whether it is set to manual or
auto. Does anyone know if SP4 "broke" this function?

on the D: which is on a Dell SAN sometimes it went up to 200+. may or may
not come down quickly. I thought it shouldn't be more than 80. But the avg.
disk queue length is lower than 1 or 2 x spindles. Can someone provide a
little more how to interprete this counter?

xcopy exclude switch

I can't seem to get the exclude switch to work in the xcopy command. I would
like to exclude 'folder1' in the batch folder. I have tried:
xcopy C:\Batch D:\Batch /D /C /E /H /Y /EXCLUDE:C:\Batch\Folder1
xcop "C:\Batch" "D:\Batch" /D /C /E /H /Y /EXCLUDE:C:\Batch\Folder1
