Hello, i have problem with w2003 server upgraded to sp1.
I cannot use ntbackup because still ends with these errors.
I mean that problem is in permission in sql database.

Why does Windows allow you to create a path longer than can be managed?????

This is just insane! Trying to delete files, apply perms with cacls, etc.
Have to do a subst command MULTIPLE times just to manage the damn file
system that allowed these humongously long paths to be created, then won't
let you manage them!

I have a 2000 Server SP4 that is running low on disk space. My problem is I
don't think it is reporting the usage correctly. In windows explorer if I
right-click the c:\ drive in the left pane and click properties it says there
is 3.54GB used. Now if I select all the folders and files in the right pane

W2K SP4 - CD-Roms and floppy report unformatted media when accessed e.g. by
windows explorer. Its not specific to any particular CD or floppy. I can
read recordable CD-Roms which invoke Adaptec DirectCD, and I can read Audio
CDRoms, so I presume the media hardware and drivers are OK and for a plain
data ...

Hi,
my server service stops responding when I put millions of small files
on a 195GB partition, create a share on it and users start to access
it.
I have W2KSrvSP4, 1GB RAM and even tried it on W2K3SP1 - same effect.
I played around with PoolUsageMaximum, PagedPoolSize, LargeSystemCache,
.... no effect.

Mountvol not mounting SAN attached volumes
