I have an issue where one of my remote offices PCs are not appearing in my
window exploder under network places. I thought it might be a WINS issue at

single rate verse multirate streaming video

I have been streaming video from a win 2003 enterprise media server..
i have done 2 rates a ~300 kbps & a 45 kbps
my question is this , If I knew that my viewers were ALWAYS broadband
Could I then stream only 1 rate ( 300 kbps ) would the viewing experience
of the single (300kbps) be better , meaning ...

for some reason, I have a small black clock icon on some files. This is
preventing some jobs to run (They use the files with the black clock).

new drive coa not working help?

I bought a new hard drive bigger then I had in my dell laptop when I tried to
install windows 2000 sp2 on the new drive my coa won't work. dell says they
can't help.
How do I get a coa that will work this version came with the laptop and the

This issue is killing me right now. The Helpdesk in my company have rebuilt
