Wireless vs Lan Connection

I have a W3K AD DNS setup. I Have a XP laptop with a LAN connection
and a wireless connection. when I ping the laptopby name, it comes
back with the IP of the wireless connection. What determines what IP
gets associated first with the name of the laptop. I would like the

Recursive VS Open DNS

How do you make a DNS server recursive without ending up also making it an
Open DNS????
If you turn Recursive off, that also turns off DNS Forwarding.
All my DNS does is answer quires from the internet. How can I get it to be
recursive???

Can't find DNS MMC

Hi - I had a PDC go down that hosted DNS. I promoted my BDC and now want to
configure DNS.
When I go to Windows components under networking details the DNS box is
ticked liked it's install already.
When I go to admin tools the DNS MMC is not there.

Wrong DNS configuration loads

SBS 2003 with DNS configured. When the DNS service refreshes, it loads and
old configuration using tserver,domain.local instead of server.domain.local.
Where is this config coming from and how can I stop it from loading? Thanks

Denying Internet access using DHCP

Hi everyone,
I want to deny Internet access to a certain Windows group on a Windows 2000
SBS domain. I think the best way to do this is through DHCP. I would like
to assign this particular group to a DHCP user class that has no router
setting, thus eliminating the ability to get out to the Internet.
