Outlook XP attachments issue

One of our nurses has a very strange issue on her PC, whenever she receives
attachments - Outlook seems to keep converting anything that is not an Office
file to word for example if she receives PDF or JPEG it tries to convert this

WINPROJ.exe has generated error and will be closed by windows

Issue: While trying to launch project WINPROJ.EXE error comes up and cannot
launch project after that. It will only work after a re-boot and sometimes
three re-boots are required before it will work again. This issue is very
intermittent so becoming very hard to troubleshoot. Any suggestion please?
