Joining a 2008 member server to a 2003 domain?
Wed, 1 Oct 2008 14:54:29 +0900
I will be joining a 2008 member server to our native 2003 domain (to use for
administering Group Policy Preferences). Are there any issues with
introducing a 2008 member server to a 2003 domain? I assume that there is no
impact as it will be a member server. Thank you.

moment I am not planning on upgrading the child domain, only the parent. Is

I will not be using RODC so I am not concerened with that prep command.
Also, we are running an Exchange 2003 SP2 Server, Sharepoint Sites, SQL ...

We would like to use DFS to manage our userĂ¢??s home shares. I updated a test
userĂ¢??s account in AD to connect a drive to
\\mydomain.com\dfsroot\city\username, also set "My Documents" redirection to
the user path with a GPO. When he logs in the drive maps to
\\mydomain.com\dfsroot instead of to the full p ...

Standard Procedure for disabled user accounts
Wed, 24 Sep 2008 16:50:41 -0500
I was wondering if there is an industry standard for the expiration of "user
accounts" of users who have left the company? Is it an industry standard to
just delete the account after a certain time period? Any input or
documentation would be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
