What would be the easiest way to control internet for a hotel(no wireless).
Like those who hooks up the internet cable gets a screen asking them for a
code..
The receptionist of course, knows nothing about MAC addresses, thus, the
systeme ...

Is there any way to log the use of my internet connection? Even with all
apps closed there is constant activity on my dialup connection. While some
of this is probably automatic updates etc I would like to know that it is
not some spyware or such.

I have created a socket in a client application and have called
connect on the remote service. How do I determine the port the client
is accepting responses on? Bind was not called on the socket at any
time prior to or after the call to connect. (Winsock2)

I frequently have to switch between networks the have a dhcp server and ones
that don't. I would like to know if there is a way to shorten the length of

255.255.255.255, it is sent to only one network interface.
Actually the 255.255.255.255 value is entered by the user.

I've a trouble using fireall on Windows 2003. My porpuses is to lock all
ICMP Packet for Destination unreachable when a packet from a remote host
try to connect to a non-active port.
So, without firewall I get ICMP packet. It's ok.
With firewall I do not get ICMP packet. It's ok.
