We would like to change over our company IP scheme from 192.168.1.x/24
to 192.168.x.y/16 in preparation of anticipated future growth.
Has anyone had experience with this? Is it as simple as configuring a
new scope, deleting the old scope, activating the new one, then
rebooting dhcp clients and manually chan ...

Slow FTP over long fat pipe

I'm trying to diagnose the cause of slow transfers via FTP when using
Windows FTP clients.
There is an OC3 on the distant end, and a DS3 on our end. We only upload as
a rule, but test downloads show the same results.
Round-trip times seem to be in the 50-60ms range -- they disallow ICMP
pings, so we only ...

Really Strange Connection Problem!

I've got a really weird issue going on that I've run into in the past but
not been able to fix. Recently I formatted my system and after a few weeks
the issue is back.

Change DHCP timeout?

Our application installs a USB network adaptor, which the user then plugs
into their computer. Upon plugging it in, the adaptor searches for a DHCP
server for a solid minute, and afterwards comes up with an error message
specifying "limited or no connectivity" because there's no DHCP server.

Is there a way to setup w2k3 to monitor NIC traffic?

I'd like to see all traffic in and out on a specified interface and be able
to tell which application initiated a given flow. Is there a way to setup
sort of a network trap to do that on a permanent basis?
