i have a program that comuncates with another machine on port 9100 and 9080,
and it works fine for a while
then it closes for no reason. I can't telnet or anything.
Is there a reason why a port should close itself?

Are the streams physically divided or is it just a logical concept?
If it is the former one then how much bandwidth is allocated to each
stream?

Viewing XP DHCP client log for waking up from hibernate or standby

Hi,
I am developing a DHCP server, and I am having problems with the XP
built-in DHCP client not able to renew the lease smoothly after waking
up from hibernate or standby. I would like to see more detailed debug
info, so I got a checked-build XP. But I found the DHCP debug info

I have 180+ NTServers on just as many locations throughout the country.
I would like to ping all these servers with one command (or tool).
Simular to:
ping 192.168.1.1
ping 192.168.2.1
ping 192.168.3.1
ping 192.168.4.1
....

Hello - We have a medium sized network. I'm was recently trying to
troubleshoot some network slowness and noticed a lot of traffic from
x.x.1.105 using a packet sniffer.
This system doesn't show up in our DNS or DHCP, and resolves using nslookup,
but I for the life of me can't figure out what it is/where ...

Our Isapi extension needs to determine whether the client is still
connected.
the traditional way is calling ServerSupportFunction with
HSE_REQ_IS_CONNECTED.
It works great on XP and 2000 but does not work on Windows Server 2003
Standard Edition SP1.
