Issues with perfmon

I'm having trouble connecting to a remote WS 2003 machine with the
perfmon tool. I can log on locally as the same domain user and run the
tool without any issues, but when querying the counters from a remote
machine (or monitoring tools that automate this) the connection times

DfrgNTFS.exe is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility

Even after running chkdsk /f, we still are getting this msg. Any thoughts
on repair? Should I just delete the corrupt file and defrag a different way?

process (exampleA BCD.exe) which is running on windows 2000/xp and
running more than 30 minutes.

Client has NT 4.0 server box. Put it in storage and has now pulled it out to
gather data that is on the machine. Problem is, they forgot their password.
Rebuilding the box will erase it's contents, so that's not an option.

Hello,
A few month ago I installed a service pack on my WindowsNT 4.0 server
and since then I wasn't able to use IE.
I noticed that when starting, Windows is reporting a service starting
failure so I checked and see that the only automatic which is not
started is: "World Web Wide Publishing Service".
