Network and local account not synchronized

I have a user with an XP pro machine on an SBS 2003 domain. The user is a
local administrator on the PC.
After powering the machine on recently, he no longer sees his own settings,
but instead sees another account's (desktop, my documents, start menu,

I currently have everyones My Documents saved on the network.
Everyone has a "U" drive mapped to their \\server\servershare\%username%\My
Documents folder.
I'm trying to figure out how to keep XP from pulling the users My Documents
over to the workstation.
If I do roaming profiles would I leave the users ...

I am trying to update Remote Desktop on XP SP2 to v5.23790.2589 using
Msrpdcli.exe v6.0.2600.0. I have done this successfully on at least ten
systems and not had a problem. With this version Remote Desktop I can set
the registry to redirect the default printer only on terminal server.

When I remote to change user group from administrator to power user
Permission will activate after they logout / login or reboot his computer
Any command / method that system admin change their group permission and
effect it immediately ?
