Invisible virus files to Explorer?

Recently Norton Internet Security turned up several malware, mostly
Trojan Horses.
When I searched the files exposed by Norton using Explorer\Search, it
failed find any of them.
Are those malware files invisible to Explorer? How can Norton find them

Admin setting?

I have 2 account on my PC. 1 Admin and 1 regular user. I have a game on my
D drive that I cannot run unless I am in Admin mode. Whenever I try to launch
the game a a regular user nothing happens. I used to be able to run it in
either mode but something changed and I am unable to figure out what it is.

does anyone knows why windows Xp does not recognize AVG antivirus Free
edition as a valid antivirus anymore? It use to be ok, but now it says I do
not have a valid and updated antivirus, even though AVG is last versione and
