HP 4050 network printer driver not deleting

I have a XP home machine on our work network. That machine doesn't print to
the HP 4050. AS of Thursday it could, but now it can't. It can print to the
rest of the other printers in the printer's list. Other users can print to
the HP 4050. When I try to delete the driver, it stays there saying

and i wish to set it to print black text by default. I can choose black in
printing preferences but the 'apply' button is greyed out. how can i set it

OK, I FINALLY FOUND THE PROBLEM AND THE FIX. Thanks to bwt777 for suggesting it was a registry
cleaner issue. It was, and I found a work around. The problem is HP is creating an invalid
registry entry, but if you remove it, as your registry cleaner will, the HP CUE software
